Range & Status

Found intertidally and down to 36m depth, often on the brown seaweed Cystoseira spp. Recorded from north-west Wales, the Irish Sea and the west and south-west coasts of Ireland. Also found in the English Channel predominantly from the eastern end. Only two, relatively old, records for Cornwall.
